A lovely copper-red colour, 50% opaque. Some faint and astringent fruit on the nose, not greatly attractive. Lovely mature fruit on the palate, balanced by the acidity and with a clear and focused fruitiness to it. A lovely acidic grapefruit to the aftertaste and finish with caramelised sugar on the finish. Lovely length to the finish. A nice elegant port. 94/100.

N45. Dark red, 30% opaque. Initially rough and unbalanced. Much improved by time in the glass, becoming oleaginous and soft, though devoid of fruit. I’ve had better N45.
