Reddish-brown in colour, mature in appearance; 50% opaque. Nice on the nose, fresh and with acidic rhubarb tones. Empty entry despite the texture, but some attractive burnt toffee and marmalade on the mid palate. A nice balancing acidity on the palate but this does burn slightly on the aftertaste. The finish is slightly burnt, but with very pleasant mature fruit; a touch short compared to the other ports shown alongside but a large volume and mouthfilling. 91/100.

RP45. Red-brown. Nose of burnt wood. Palate very dry, and “too old”.
