Deep red, mature brick red; 70% opaque. Pronounced nose, lots of menthol from the spirit and a touch of antiseptic. Leisurely arrival on the palate. Sweet fruit, lots of redcurrant jelly and a great dose of acidity. Very sweet but also very fruity with a great texture. Roasted red fruit on the aftertaste, huge fruit finish with wonderful maturity. Really nice mature port. 94/100.

Ni45. Very dark red, 75% opaque. Nose: is that a hint of TCA? I am fairly insensitive to that, so if other think not, then not. But the palate was excellent: perfect smoothness. Big, but not massive. Balance of fruit and acid and loveliness.

Later, still wonderful.
