London - 13, 14 or 15th Feb

Post by DRT »

I will be in London on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings this week.

As this will be the seventh week of 2012, and we have only had a paltry six tastings this year, I thought it might be a good idea to meet at TCP/TBH/TSE or somewhere else to taste some Port on one or more of the evenings I am in town.

Please let me know if you wish to join me and, if so, which day(s) are preferred.

Derek

Can't do Monday, I'm afraid. Should be able to do another evening, though. Slight preference for Wednesday.

Though I was told that Monday or Tuesday would the days. So, since this is becoming Wednesday, maybe another time.

But it does have the advantage of another TLA, viz TLO.

We have a quorum for Wednesday, so I have set up a thread for that date.

Monday and Tuesday are still available for use. Perhaps JDAW and I could take one for the team and explore the promised delights of The Lady Ottoline on one of those evenings?

I have to be in London on Tuesday. I can think of no better way to spend Valentine's evening than with a bunch of overweight, balding port chums.

Perhaps I could be persuaded to delay my return home for a couple of hours...

Can't make Monday or Wednesday though.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

New thread created for the organisation of the TPF Valentine's Day Tasting 2012.

Now then. What to do on Monday?

Gents, not me I am afraid. I may try and get Mrs Read to have a glass tomorrow night though. Whilst I chuckle and wonder what other diners make of the 3 of you sharing a bottle of something special huddled together and laughing at your own jokes!!

Have fun.
