The SQL script that creates the index only reads the title of the first post in each thread so that needs to be in the correct format.

We confirm (Sten, Stefan and Jörgen), as already noted in the attendance list. In addition I confirm that I have the following bottles from tire 1 and 2 and with at least 2 bottles available:

I can now confirm that the attendee list is confirmed and is updated in the top post. I am in the process of sorting out who is bringing what and should be able to confirm this before Easter.

I've now mostly finalised who should bring what to the tasting, indicated after the names in the top post.

I've tried to contact most people in advance about their contribution - if you are surprised/confused/have a query, drop me an email/PM.

A few points to note about logistics for the tasting:

- I am assuming everyone is having both lunch and dinner, please advise if you don't want lunch or dinner or both
- I will operate a money clearing system for the whole tasting, which means that I will work out the cost for each person for the port, lunch, dinner and tips, and will ask for payment up front. Some people are very generously contributing a hefty number of bottles and will be receiving cash rather than paying it!
- the bottles will be costed at £90 per bottle, with the exception of £120 per bottle for T, F, D, G, Ni, which are typically more expensive
- I will slightly overestimate the costs in case one or two folks need to drop out, and consequently I expect that there might be a small repayment of up to £30 per person once all of the actual costs are known and taken care of

Hello everyone. Probably self-evident, but our plans for the 1970 Mega Horizontal are on hold pending some more certainty about how we could conduct such an event in the current COVID times. I'll reactivate this thread in 2021 at a point when we have better news!

Just browsing Brightwell’s list for tomorrow and there is a lot with Serafim Cabrals VP 1970; anyone ever come across that name before? Not sure it’s going to be a Flight one wine

I haven't but there has been a few different and random 1970 that i have come across in the last year, which i have managed to get hold off.

just picked up a Dolamore 1970, which seems to be a own bottling.

Became aware of this last year, as occasionally appears at auction. Tony has tried it / possibly has some and apparently it's not very good.

Unless it's going for not very much at all probably worth avoiding.

More interesting though is the Cabral Serafim 1871 which some of us have / have tried. Had a bottle about a year ago and it was very good and showed well in some fairly exalted company. A later below low-shoulder bottle was also very drinkable.

As well as bottling for others, Dolamore have a few own-brand vintages of VP; I'm aware of '63, '66, '70, '75 (QH) and '77 (SW) but as you can see I don't know what was used for their '70, so would be interested to hear what the cork shows if/when you open that bottle.
