Thu 22 Nov - Berry Bothers Port Walk

Post by AHB » 21:59 Wed 20 Jun 2018

Cellar plan customers of BBR have just received an email advising them that the one week advance sale period for autumn /winter events has just opened.

The Port Walk is on Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd November. I have a ticket for Thursday.

It looks like I have left it too late for this event as it's fully subscribed. I will go on the waiting list but I don't suppose anyone has a spare ticket...?

I've promised my spare ticket to JDAW, but if he declines then I will let you know.

Did BBR give you any idea of how far down the wait list you are? There's normally a good 10-12 people from the wait-list who get in on the day.

Is there any interest in dinner after the Port Walk? It looks like there are 4 people from TPF who will be attending:
  1. AHB
  2. JDAW
  3. DRL
  4. CPR

Ian’s post had me scurrying to the cupboard to see if I had remembered to buy a ticket. It turns out I did remember.

I’d be up for dinner Alex.

DRL has confirmed no dinner. AHB and MPM have confirmed they would be interested in dinner.

Are people happy to go to one of the Clubs round the corner from BBR?

The East India club have Fonseca 1985 magnums @£150c Taylor 1992 @ £100 or Noval 1995 @ £65.

The Oxford and Cambridge have Taylor 1994 at a similar price.

Any preference where we dine?

Mike - it looks like it’s just you and me.

Don't mind Alex - maybe East India for a change of scenery? T92 attractive at that price!

FYI, I definitely cannot attend.

Perhaps somebody else could do the traditional call for port enthusiasts?
