Might I suggest that we have a protocol with this tasting, that every bottle must be decanted at least 24hrs ahead of time?

My recent notes suggest that 24hr if not 48hr decants are advisable with this vintage..

@ uncle tom - my apologies, I have not clarified sufficiently that this is indeed the request. I shall amend the first post to request decanting by 1830 on Sunday.

Hello all, I have talked to the B&F today and they will let us have our standard food order rather than having to order from the rather less steak-led Christmas menu. I have checked the standard food order and a standard food order exists for everyone attending except CMAG and NickA.

Everything except the fact that the GC91 is currently residing in the B&F and so the decanting presents a challenge.

However, I shall attempt to find a solution.

Food order submitted, taking into account recent requests to change standard food orders; no standard food order exists for NickA and CMAG, so I have indicated to the B&F on their behalf simply that there will likely be some desire on their part for some steak.

I believe the list of ports to be settled. I have checked the placemats, thank you, and believe the file to be correct. I have printed the file (the placemats on A3, everything else on A4). I am not quite sure what to do with the pages past the 'corks' pages but someone will no doubt explain to me on the night.

I have updated the food order to include CMAG (cornish crab salad starter no longer on menu, indicative replacement is crayfish starter).

I much look forward to seeing again those of you I have met before, to meeting those who I have not met, and to trying lots of what I hope will be rather good ports.
