Sunday May 3rd - my 60th birthday..

Post by uncle tom »

Aside from the Symington event tomorrow, it is also my 60th birthday.

In the interest of providing a good excuse, might I invite everyone to open 'a bottle they would not normally drink at home' tomorrow.

I shall be opening a '45 - first of a stash with no hard shipper ID, but 'believed Dow' - the vintage is not in doubt!

Happy Birthday for tomorrow Tom! I hope we still get your birthday tasting done and that I can still make it, at which I look forward to sharing a S60, which I have saved for it, with you. Enjoy your 1945 and the rest of the celebrations.

10 year's to the day before a friend of mine turning 50 tomorrow. Not really the birthday's any of us planned - my 50th was 26th March. We were all still in shock then! I'm deferring to later this year or next now and going to try and do some of the things I had planned. Amongst them was a trip to Porto / Pinhao!

Happy birthday - I'll raise a glass of something to you tomorrow.

My father is deep quarantining, so the selection available to me falls short of that required for the occasion. Nonetheless, the occasional will be marked.

Zoom? We can arrange (unless the wife’s account is being used for another thing at the same time).

Happy Birthday Tom! Real shame that we can't share in the normal manner but although I have already decanted a F83 for this evening, I will try and find something more befitting to crack open tomorrow. Good health to you sir!

Congratulations.
Think I might open a half of (believed) Croft 60 that I’ve had my eye on for a while.

Happy birthday Tom. I’m finishing my N78 but will open something rather better tonight to celebrate your birthday. Perhaps a half of Mz27 that’s on this year’s drinking list.

Perhaps we should organise a Zoom call for Tom after the success of the SFE call?

SFE event went really very well. I've no idea where the microphone is on this 'puter, but it worked well at it's first outing.

Only one person seemed to have audio problems and very few were cracked up..
