Now that I can once again contemplate drinking port after yesterdays double horizontal, I want to propose a Ferreira vertical for late November (now October due to the O&O tasting moving dates).

I have 1978 Ferreira, 1983 Ferreira Quinta do Seixo, 1985 Ferreira, 1995 Ferreira.

Fabulous. Having checked, my only Ferreira is a 1977, which, of course, is at the service of the team.

i'll need to source but am interested as soon as the date is announced.

I have a Ferreira 1970 but will have difficulty getting to NYC in November. If I can't make it I'd be willing to swap it to someone for something equivalent for the event, though.

As the Old and Odd tasting has shifted forward to the first week of November, let's consider shifting the Ferreria vertical to the first or second week of December.

Either suggestion works for me. I have a preference for October 17 as that would allow for an October tasting.

What's the story folks? Are we doing this tasting on October 17 or not? I need to know as I have other possible plans for that night.

Tomorrow I’m off to Portugal, so won’t be able to participate actively in the discussion. But I am in town that Friday; my wife is not; so my apartment could be the venue.

Not I - first times available are the weekends in Nov cited above.

Just did a Ferreira vertical a month ago or so. I think there's a 55 Ferreira for sale recently.

We have four bottles and three tasters. We could use a few more bottles and a few more tasters but I am still game.

P.S. What about our Siberian comrades?

I don't know if you gents are willing to open up the theme at all. I have no way to access any Ferreira in time for the event but will be in NY at the time. I have some nice Ports with me, but none Ferreira. I have a possible guest with me too, who is pretty Port literate, yet is not a or participant. I would be happy to put up a 2nd bottle if this individual would be able to make it ... if they'd be welcome to come along ... if the Ferreira theme were to be loosened ... if you even want me there? That would make it either 4 or 5 instead of 3 and might be more fun. Up to you all.
