Only a few tickets left - £120 per person for both nights. Call 0207 2269 500 for tickets
Whisky night – contrary to popular belief, I’m not Scottish, so although we won’t quite be piping in the Haggis, our own little Burn’s night alternative will be an informal stand up (and hopefully not fall down) tutored whisky night will be held next Thursday 22nd January at 7.45pm. We will introduce you to the classic styles of Malt whisky with a primary focus on Single Malt Scotch from all the classic areas and in different age styles and finishes. If you are very lucky, Sebastien will recite the entire Tam O’Shanter from memory* (it sounds better with a French accent than Scottish apparently). £30 a head - call 0207 2269 500 for tickets

Join us as we open a bunch of amazing bottles from one of our favorite importers, Jenny & Francois Selections. Share some of their finds created by small producers from all around France. These winemakers make it all about the grape -- pure and simple.

A first at West Side Wine! New York's first distillery since Prohibition, Tuthilltown Spirits, will be hosting a tasting of small-batch, handcrafted beauties. Come on in and try some of their creations, and meet Gable Erenzo, Tuthilltown's chief distiller.
I’ve been to three such events, and they’ve been jolly good. Cost is $135+tax+your bottle(s).David Hamburger wrote:BYOB Dinner Party at Tribeca Grill

We had such a great time at the last one we couldn’t wait a whole year!
The BYO is back this June! Those of you who came last December saw an incredible display of generosity, hedonism and a bit of excess! Come join us, and up to 120 other wine lovers, at Tribeca Grill one more with gems from your cellar. We will seat in tables of ten according to the caliber of wine you bring and regulate a certain minimum standard, so no worries! After a bit, everyone shares around the room and it becomes a real free for all, and a heck of a party! The sky is the limit for the amount of extraordinary wines you will have a chance to sample! This dinner includes a four-course meal in Tribeca Grill’s private room. Don’t miss one of the greatest wine experiences of the year and a memory that will last a lifetime.
$135 per person plus tax and gratuity
Please reserve early as this is always a very popular event and likely to sell out
Thank you!
Please call David Hamburger at 212.875.0222, Monday – Friday, to confirm events. You can also register online at http://www.winewkshop.com

Fareham Wine Cellar wrote:As you may know 2007 has been declared a vintage year for Port. There are usually only 3 or 4 vintage declarations per decade. 2007 is the third generally declared vintage, by all Port houses and shippers, after 2000 and 2003, and great things are expected of it.
We have barrel samples from many of the major Port Houses and would like to offer you the rare opportunity to try these young Ports at this early stage in their life (and pre-order some, if you wish!).

2011 Vintage Port Tasting, Saturday 18th May - 11am-7pm FREE
This is a very unique opportunity to taste a number of these fantastic Ports before they are released, giving you the ideal chance to try before ordering some of these wonderful wines.
2011 is certainly looking to be a classic with all the major houses declaring. The wines are characterised as having great intensity, depth and purity. Deep in colour and fruit these wines will age extremely well, but in the more modern tradition provide pleasure at an early age too.
We will have the following open all day Saturday: Taylor's, Fonseca, Croft, Churchill, Skeffington & Niepoort - this line-up includes both the Taylor's Vargellas Vinha Velha and Niepoort 'Bioma' Vinha Velha.
