I'm unclear - does that mean you want to adopt the 1990 from me and bring that as well as the 2004? Or are you saying that you can bring a 2004 instead of adopting the 1990 now that you have one?
If it helps: Jacob is adopting a 1997 from me. Jacob is welcome to switch to adopting either the 1990 from AHB or the 2004 from Cookie and I will adopt the 1997 from myself. Either way, all three are now in the line-up.
AHB, please stop trying to scupper the master plan!
We NEED 1989 and 2001. Capela('s) is(are) a bonus but not essential in achieving completeness of a Vesuvio Vertical.

Completeness is an uneccessary state, is purely temporary and is not a goal in its own right.
Do not be seduced by the false perception of completeness. It will not create world peace or cure all disease. It will simply make you want to create a complete line-up of all ports in the next tasting...
...remind me, what's the next tasting after the Vesuvio?
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.
2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

Are you the same AHB sometimes known as "Mr Vesuvio", arguing here to drink less Vesuvio?! What is the world coming to!

I think AHB is being very unfair. He and I and a few others have reached a state of Vesuvio Completeness previously whilst others have not yet had the pleasure of that experience.
I agree that Completeness will be a temporary state, but so are many pleasurable things in life
According to wine searcher there is a 2001 in Suffolk for £35.

I do have the 2 tunnels booked at TCP so we would need to cancel that without causing offence to those who have been extremely good hosts to us over a long period of time. Perhaps one to try for the next arranged offline?

For smaller events TCP is good. But for larger events, with more bottles and people, I find it too crowded and airless.

Others might disagree.
I agree with both of you.

So what should be done? If we’re moving, earlier cancellation would be more courteous.
I agree with you that TCP is not ideal for large tastings. But I agree with Ben that cancellation of an event of this scale that is less than two weeks away would be bad form.

Me too!
Again, well looked after tonight.
Very well, but definitely the loudest tasting I have ever attended. And the most women in attendance at any Port tasting in my lifetime. I have no idea whether or not those two facts are related.
