2. Subject to confirmation, KillerB plus his V96 and glasses to be collected from Coventry at 07:00 on 23rd Feb

3. V01 to be collected from Thomas Peatling, Bury St Edmunds at 09:00

4. Various things to be deposited and collected at Seckford Wines at 10:00

5. V99, 03 and 05 plus glasses to be collected from Wolfgang around 12:00

6. V91 and 92 to be collected from Daren at around 12:15

7. V95 to be collected from Chris Doty at around 12:30

8. V98 to be collected from BBR around 13:00

9. Ben and Cookie will have V00 and 04 and are to bring them with them to the venue.

10. DRT and ARK arrive at the venue around 14:00

11. JDAW arrives at the venue around 15:00

12. Tasting commences 18:30

Times are very approximate.

*My V96 is a contingency in case KillerB gets snowed-in

I have created the TN threads for this tasting and incorporated the appropriate links:
*Please note that the 2008 Cask Sample was donated to this tasting by the Symington family before the final blend was complete so this may not accurately represent what the Vesuvio 2008 will be, should it be approved and declared later in 2010.

It's always a good idea to have a contingency in place

I don't. Do we need one? If so, do we need a Mag of each of the others in the line-up?

Of course we do. Haven’t you learnt anything?

I’m willing to accept that this is a lower-priority ‘need’ though still a ‘need’.

All,

Please do not decant your bottles tonight or tomorrow morning. We will decant everything at the venue.

Thanks

Please note that we have the room from about 5pm. If someone is in the room before it is available to us, you may have to improvise
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

My hotel is 100 yards from NCC. JDAW and I can improvise in my room for a couple of hours if necessary, though not in the Biblical sense

I had intended to do this yesterday, but circumstances prevented this. I shall endeavour to do so today but probably only have an 80% chance of success.

Sounds like fun. How did the 2006 Magnum show? I hope it was worthy of the wait.

I thought it was very good, others thought it tasted of dodgy unwashed feet  = do you think it perhaps needs more time?

As usual on these occasions my notes are sparse and somewhat useless so I am waiting on AHB and others posting theirs before adding my few words
