NY : March 17th ACPT: A full decade of Taylors

Organise events to meet up and drink Port. You may, of course, forego the drinking and just meet, but we're sure that drinking would be more fun.

Thank you for penciling me in! I had some technical difficulties registering on the site but finally got it worked out with a little help from Alex. I'm very much looking forward to this awesome lineup of port and seeing many of the folks that I met at last year's Dow's vertical. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help you guys out with the organizing.

Cheers,

LH

Greetings all! I hope you are all doing well. Please count me in for 3/17. I look forward to much to this line up.

Also, G-Man, if you still have bottles for adoption, please let me know whether I should mail you a check now.

Great, thank you! Whoever is "adopting out" , let me know so I can bring the correct $ to contribute. If they are spoken for, I'll donate the $ instead - whichever works best for the group.

Is anyone looking to split the cost of a $180 bottle adoption? (Is there anyone who doesn't yet have a bottle?)

Currently, everyone is contributing ~$200 toward wine in the form of a bottle adoption or bringing an appropriate bottle from the list g-man provided.

john, the average cost of the bottles to all of us supplying is 160-210$

it'd only be fair if you cover the cost of an unadopted bottle.

OK. I'm in. I wasn't aware of the average cost until just now. (I was responding to one of the messages left above (` 5 msgs up) about the bottle that was for a split). Of course, as stated above, I will donate the $ if there are no more bottles to adopt. Anyway, see you on the 17th.

Looking at the tasting plan now...
you know, if we are going to do this, I have Taylor 77, 80, and 85. Add them and we've got the lineup.

DifferentDave and Chris+1 both still need bottles, so that'd work out in that regard as well.

Amazing how things develop on TPF. This started out as a "drink some old leakers" tasting and is now a 35-year span of Taylor VPs. 88)

it should be 100$ for the meal + whatever monies for bottle adoptions if you're adopting.

Unless someone wants to put a 1400-1500$ bill on their CC/

Do we have the list of attendees finalized (with confirmation from each)? Who's unconfirmed? and do we have additional seats that we would like to fill?

Finally, Jeff, what time can you and I arrive to set up, pour, etc? I'd like to get all of the handled before everyone arrives.

If they take AmEx, I might as well. Bring cash to give me and I'll do "bank of dinner" on my CC for the points.

I can probably show up early to help with setup/pouring also.

We'll need to know what your second bottle is, too. Second you could bring a 1992 Taylor to contrast with first you's 1994 Taylor. ;-)
