Greatly reducing the likelihood of the attendance of those currently on the reserve list?
Having consulted one of my colleagues from Actuarial it seems that a number of the members currently in places 1 to 14 will be unavailable to attend and therefore in no need of a runner. A greater than average number of cold winters between now and 2051 might mean we require more reserves!

Phew.
Indeed, but most of them will not be born until around 2025 so we can neither name them nor answer as to whether they are left or right handed for quite some time.

Yes, we all die. But are then replaced by descendants — so the reserves never make it.
Are the dead replaced by their children or by the reserves?

A relief for jdaw1 as he will be allowed to continue to attend following his planned career change?

No substitutes; no ‘runners’; no bequeathing places.

Agreed. But those able to attend are permitted to bring a non-drinking assistant if required.

My cryogenically frozen body may be there, which technically isn't bequeathing a place as it's me. Just a stiffer version. Someone else attending is welcome to help me consume my share of the Port.

This thread was started just over five years ago. It seems appropriate that people should, once every half decade, have to re-confirm their likely attendance, longevity permitting.
Those who do not, before 2nd February 2019, re-confirm their intention to attend, will be deemed to have lost interest. Please re-confirm.
I have hereby done so.

Well of course I’ll be there. Can’t your man just check with my man?

Indeed, ‘his man’ did. And imagine the shock on discovering that you answer your own electronic messages. Don’t you have a man to do that?

Could we add the fact that it is a Sunday to the title? Have we booked a room at the B&F? Hopefully we will be able to get the Red Room — but I'm not sure what are the opening hours of the B&F on Sunday.
And yes, I am still in.

Still a reserve hoping to be promoted to the main list, but will just be pleased to be around to read the tasting notes in all honesty.

Over the past 5 years I appear to have acquired a handful of other bottles from the 2011 vintage. I will put neck labels on them to ensure I don't drink them before St George's Day 2051.
The additional bottles I could contribute to the tasting are:
- Berry Brothers Own Label {magnum}
- Duorum
- Quinta de Vale Meao
- Quinta do Infantado
- Quinta do Passadouro
- Quinta do Sagrado
- Taylor Vargellas Vinha Velha
And I believe someone acquired some bottles of Quarles Harris from Trader Joe to ensure that particular port could make an appearance at this event.

Careful.. - we might have euthanasia on demand by then.
Mind you - you'll only be a sprightly 78 - which used to be a record..

If at all possible, I would like to be added to the Reserves list. As I'll be just 77 at this time I expect to be able to attend.
2011 VP's that I could bring along are:
Not yet on the list:
- Kopke
- Krohn
- Krohn Quinta do Retiro Novo
- Pocas Junior
Already on the list:
- Cockburn's
- Fonseca
- Quevedo
- Warre
