That is a good plan. On 24th April 2051 you will only have 10, 1 and 3 bottles remaining. Do not throw them away so recklessly after that otherwise you might run out

The Vieira de Sousa and Barão de Vilar aren't SQVPs. I'll have to check the label on the Morgadio. I don't think it is technically a single quinta, but it might be the closest to qualifying. Of course if the intent of the earlier tasting is just to try things that might not go the distance ...

Sorry, yes, that was me being imprecise - SQVPs, smaller or newer brands - admirably summed up as 'things that might not go the distance' in fact.

In addition to all 3 super cuvees, I also have Vieira de Sousa and Quevedo (6L, 1.5L, 750mm, 375mm). Though the smaller Quevedo bottles are likely to be consumed before 2051.

The organiser has been slack about updating the first post, so I have done it, at least in part. And somehow there are nineteen people who want to play. I have cut the reserve list, as is traditional, at 14 people, but it seems, ahem, likely, that there will be spaces for all those currently on the reserve list (which is not the same thing as saying that all will attend).
