The 9th of May is Victory Day, as marked previously in the Soviet Union and now in itsformer Republics. What a shame we can't adorn the placemats with a Red Flag, or a hammer and sickle, to recognise the incredible contribution made by so many millions of Soviet citizens to the defeat of fascism.

I like the placemats though. What logic determined the order of the ports on the placemats, or is there one? I am not disputing the order; just curious.

Thank you. The order is that chosen by Axel and Alex, with one alteration by me.

Dear participants,

I would like to inform you, that I will record a video of this monumental tasting (as I always have done when tasting like this happen :D ).

So if anyone of you have something really important to say about this tasting generally, about the Vintage 1945 or a curios story about "his" bottle, don´t be shy and make me a notice, not later than the friday evening event and I will record your statemant prior to tasting at saturday afternoon.

As experiences shows, it is much better to record any statemant of a tasting prior to it or at the day after :330000:

For all-non participants, you will get an impression of this tasting, when I publish the video later this year on YouTube.

Congratulation to the excellent 1945 Vintage Tasting. Sorry to read that some was not good at all. As you can see on my web-site: www.vintageport.se I have enjoyed 11 vintage 1945 but not at all as many as you hade on your 1945 vintage tasting. I have still 6 different houses of the 1945 vintage in my cellar. 3 of them I have never had and 2 were not in you tasting either. I could however not offered them to you as my wife love this year of many reasons and we will enjoy them within the family. We hope we will enjoy some of them during the 2015.
Hope to meet you and drink some port with you in the future.
