Thu 16 July: Old Port in Newport

I found myself having to collect a visiting member of staff from Stansted Airport at 7.20 on Friday morning. Rather than get up at silly o'clock I decided to stay close to the airport on Thursday night - and so took the chance to visit Tom and his pub. While together we managed to open and quaff a bottle of Butler Nephew 1960 (I was trying to find a birth-year port Tom hadn't tried before) and a bottle of Warre 1947 that Tom had used as a waxing experiment 3 years ago.
