Round 1 was held, chez jdaw1, from 7pm on Wednesday 26th December 2007. Round 1 was (mostly) about new-decanted port, which were to be rested in round 2.
We tasted
Dow 1985,
Infantado 1985, two bottles of
Ramos Pinto 1985,
Graham 1985,
Warre 1985,
Croft 1985, and
Offley 1968 Colheita. Also see the
thread in which this tasting was arranged, and the
placemats.
The following day, Thursday 27th December 2007, these bottles were joined by
Taylor 1985 and
Andresen 1985.

Whats going on with the colour of the Offleys! Remarkable.
Great photo's, and an interesting theme. By that I mean the initial tasting by the team, rather than the year, which is a good one, but not ground breaking. Wouldn't it be frustrating if you tasted one that had overpowering heat, but the following day was calm and flat. Highly unlikely, and a risk worth taking, yet pricked my sense of irony.
I presume all four of you return for the 'proper' tasting? Looking forward to reading the results, particularly the majority view, and decanting times on Dow85.
Alan.

three things i wish i'd done after coming home at 4:20 am.
1. i wish i didn't drink that much.
2. i wish i urinated on the train tracks.
3. i wish I'd bought an awesome apartment in the city.

The two extra bottles, and sundry decanters. Also a smidge of Australian Tokay brought by
Jeff.
