Due to the fact that Dries did not show up the 83 was not tasted, so no temporary memory loss, but the wine was physically not there.

You're not the only one! Come over to the UK one day and we'll organise a two person Fonseca vertical with as many vintages as we can manage between us.

Mmm. Perhaps I need to come visit New York again soon. The wife and I were just along about maybe it was time for us to go back there - wonder if she would get suspicious if she saw me packing wine bottles in our luggage...

I could fill some of the gaps in your line up. I have 70 and 63 and maybe some others too!

But back to reality. Maybe next year, maybe two, maybe three...

Back from holiday, and I've added my notes to those of KillerB.

Going back to my notes, it is striking to see the whole range from 1987 to 1995 underperforming, except maybe 1991, which was only plagued by being young. But luckily there were many beautiful bottles as well. My top 3:

1. 1985 (96 points)
2. 1976 (95 points)
3. 2000 (94+ points)

A great evening in good company with plenty of splendid port. Life could be worse. :)
