An emergency has been declared that has resulted in a need to drink port in Wokingham and Paris. Special forces were despatched from Derbyshire earlier today to provide back-up to the Wokingham contingent.

A spendid evening with a fine dinner of roast chicken and a selection of vegitables that did not include any leaves followed by a fabulous home-made rhubarb crumble.

I can confirm that QdN55 goes very well with Rhubarb Crumble.

Thanks to Team Bridgeman for helping solve my port emergency.

Reserves of emergency port in Wokingham have been depleted, but are still sufficient for approximately 36 months of continuous snow.

Not much remains in the decanter, but work beckons tomorrow so no further port will be opened tonight.

It was extremely helpful to have another mouth to help drink through an oxidised and tawny version of one of my favourite ports - the Graham 1963.

Most entertaining event of the evening - watching Derek bag out the cork from the "Unknown", resorting to using a hammer and using the carrier bag to wrap the bottle so bits didn't go everywhere.
