I think even the most Port lovers havn´t had a port from 1993 in her career.

I want to hear about the run, too! I just finished the Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon here in Seattle yesterday. Next year the Rock 'n' Roll series has an event in Lisbon... that'd be a lot of fun!

Even allowing for traditionally Edwardian euphemistic use of English, I am not sure one could adequately describe 1993 as ‟very bad”...

Incidentally, André L. Simon describes it as ‟very poor” but that is better than at least two ‟failures” in the ’90s...

I have to ask about one of them though.... "Quevedo Colheita 1970" - does this mean Oscar invented a time machine and took a barrel back? I thought Quevedo was only formed in the early (19)90's ?

The Quevedo family have been producing grapes and finished wine for decades. I think most of what they produced historically went into Taylor blends and it is only recently that they have been shipping under their own label. Like almost all Port Producers (not Shippers), they will have produced lots of wines intended only for family consumption. This is very likely one of those.

when I woke up in the morning of the half-marathon, the weather was rather poop, windy, rainy and a solid 10 deg C (roughly 50 deg. F). So I cancelled the run. At noon we took the decision to go to Seixo for a short visit. On the way back my friends dropped me at La Rosa from where I ran then. The distance from La Rosa is roughly 18 km, but the first 8km are extremely steep up. When I arrived at Crasto, I took a shower and it was raining from then on solidly for 2 hours.
The Medoc Marathon in Bordeaux last year was much more fun to participate.
