2011 Maximin Grünhäuser Herrenberg Riesling Kabinett feinherb (off-dry)
pale golden, smells of apple and slightly of petrol (in the background), there is also a minerality in the nose, quite dry (if this is off-dry then I wouldn't like to taste a completely dry one), tastes of apple with some petrol in the background, medium body, in the aftertaste apple and a certain acidity (a sour note), the slightly sour petrol taste lingers on the palate, this is not a crowd-pleaser, but a Riesling with a mind of it's own, for my taste a dash of more residual sugar would have made the rough edges rounder, nevertheless a good wine
