2003 Vinha da Ponte

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

From Quinta do Crasto. Magnum. Deep red, youthful and opaque. Restrained on the nose, showing a little hot fruit. Smooth in the mouth, full of dark cherries with a dry charcoal undertone. A big palate presence with a great floral structure. A lovely elegance and great persistence to the finish. 90/100. Drunk 24-Nov-15. Decanted 7 hours.

Drunk at Otto's on 24 November 2015.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

Hint of sweetness, and great balanced. WPS thought over-oaked; I didn’t.
