Cape Vintage is the quality equivalent to a non-declared release of Port; second label or single quinta.
Muratie Cape Vintage 2008, Stellenbosch, South Africa. Atractive nose of sweet strawberries. Sweet entry, fruit oddly understated after the nose but soft strawberry jelly grows over time. The tannins are soft with the structure of the wine coming mainly from the ripe acidity. The aftertaste is long and dominated by the strawberry jelly. Very attractive, very refined. 85/100.
