Anything but Port, this includes all wines other than fortified wines (which have their own section) even if they call themselves Port. There is a search facility for this part of the forum.

1999 Château La Tour de By

After the BBR Port Walk, some people still felt thirsty. We arrived at the Bung Hole in time to eat some steak burgers and open some bottles that were wrapped in tinfoil.

Deep red, slight lightness to the rim. Shows little on the nose. Very modest entry; modest fruit on the early and mid-palate. Light bodied, gentle tannins. An acidic burn to the aftertaste before a lingering cedarwood and rose perfume finish. Pleasant. 81/100.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
