I am very impressed by that guess. I didn't have a clue.

I attended a presentation ceremony two weeks ago. Someone who received a presentation at that ceremony was among the dignitaries at this evening's Euro 2016 medal ceremony.

Who was that person?

No, but you guessed the correct profession and nationality. The man in question is shorter and more portly than Rui Moreira.

I was going to guess ‘clockwise’. Then decided that I wouldn’t because it would surely be marked correct, and I don’t have a question.

Derek’s question.

No, but it could be quoted there.

Correct? Thought so. My question.

A book, not primarily about wine or port, remarks that “… the connoisseurs. Among such, tawny port was once a fashionable treat …”. What date is this book?

It must be from the future, as tawny Port is still a fashionable treat.

It discusses food, drink, clothing, exercise, and other matters, but is not about any of them.

OK, I think the book is perhaps a Debrett's kind of thing, so I'll guess 1769, being the first year of Debrett's.
