Guest Viewers

I logged on this morning around 7:30 am and noticed that there were 4 guests also logged on. I often notice a number of guests when I am on the site and wonder whether these are real people browsing or whether the "guests" are search engine bots having a look at the site.

Is there any way to tell whether these are real people who are interested in learning about port or robots that are just scanning the site for search engine alogrithims?

I've seen on some forums a user called "google bot" when he was tracking the forum.

Normally the only way to know would be to look into the web server log.

I can tell within the Admin section. Most of the time it is a spider or a bot but sometimes it is somebody legit.
