Problems with posting on TPF

Post by DRT »

Over the past few days I have noticed that some things no longer work for me when posting on :tpf:

When I click on smilies, formatting/BBCode buttons nothing happens. I have to type the relevant BBCode into my post.

I have tested this on :ftlop: and the same controls work for me there.

Is anyone experiencing similar?

Not a problem for me. Just proven it with use of the italics formatting button.

Problem solved. I had somehow flagged :tpf: as being "untrusted" in a plugin called NoScript that is installed on my Firefox browser.

Official classification: "User error".

NoScript is wonderful, for the paranoid. But it disables everything you don’t explicitly allow, so things don’t work unless you permit them.

But is was allowing the :tpf: scripting features previously, so I must have somehow turned off the allowing.

In our office, we refer to this as a PICNIC issue - Problem In Chair, Not In Computer!
