2001 Taylor Terra Feita

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Rusty red colour, 90% opaque. Closed on the nose with nothing more than a few hints of fruit. The mature fruit arrives on entry but the modest levels of fruit are over-matched by the dominating tannins. The late palate does eventually come back into balance. Sweetened raspberries show on the aftertaste before a long, hot peppercorn finish takes over. Perhaps all this port needs is a bit more time to resolve itself. 87/100. 04-May-16
