1991 Pocas Vintage Port

Post by DRT »

On Decanting
Nice chocolate and cherry nose. Medium weight. Smooth. Very tannic. Very promising.

Thanks Simon

+24 Hours
Similar nose but now with a little alcohol. A thinner mouthfeel than on opening and certainly not as nice as it was last night. The tannin is still around but not as pronounced as yesterday.

Most of this bottle was consumed within 3 hours of decanting and it was very nice. Not so impressive tonight so I would suggest these don't benefit from extended decanting.

Quite enjoyable did not decant long as Derek suggested but finished the bottle in one sitting with friends.I found it dark and fruity.
