1970 Grahams VP

Post by Axel P »

The 1970 VP of Grahams was a long time my favourite. Not only because it is my year of birth and I am emotionally bounded but I strongly believe in this Port for quality-reasons. I first drank it after a Bordeaux horizontal tasting of the 70s. One reason why I converted to Port was the Grahams VP at the end after the totally weak Lafite. A perfect strong VP, which makes you optically think he is still a teen. At first a slight bottle stink which went away after half an hour. The nose showed off with Malt and Toffee. Floral notes, too. On the palate rasberries, nice spices, enormous fruit. The aftertaste is enormously long and fruity. A very seducive Port with lots of decades to come…
