1960 Sandeman

Bronzed red colour, mature appearance; clear and attractive, 80% opaque. A huge nose that is big and powerful, full of jellied fruit. Smooth on the palate, soft and rounded fruit which develops well on the palateto give a fruit led, slightly dry strawberry tone elevated by some dusty library book tannins. A lovely fruit-led aftertaste with a long and dry but flavoursome finish. This is a delicious and mouthfilling port. 91/100. Drunk 25-Sep-16. Decanted ½ hour.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
