2004 Quinta de Roriz

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Deep red colour, opaque centre. A lovely and delicious nose of sweet strawberry and esteva flowers. Smooth and rounded entry, with soft and sweet fruit that has a lovely purity to it along with the streak of minerality that is the hallmark of Roriz. Balanced and floral on the palate with soft tannins and a lovely acidity wrapped around the gorgeous chocolate core. A lovely fruity finish. This is a very fine vintage port which demonstrates the quality of this undeclared year. 91/100. Drunk 07-Nov-16.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
