2014 Quinta de la Rosa

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

I'm not normally a fan of Quinta de la Rosa's ports but this vintage's effort is a real star. Maroon red in colour with a hint of purple on the edge. Lovely fresh fruit on the nose and a delicious fresh fruit salad entry, a melange of fruit flavours. Delightful pure fruit with tannins that are modest in grip. The fruit drives the finish. This is a delicious port, full of gorgeous fruit. One of the winners of the vintage. 90-92/100. Tasted 07-Nov-16.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
