NV Pocas Tawny 20YO

Dark orange colour, 30% opaque. A nose which is somewhat unpleasant being full of VA and resin. Much nicer on the palate bringing bruised oranges and a pleasant late palate, better when air is drawn over the palate. Despite the lovely aftertaste and spicy juniper finish, this is overly sweet and lacking a little in balance to be a great example of a 20 year old tawny. 88/100. 24-May-17.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
