1995 Warre's Late Bottled Vintage (Bottle Matured)
ladyR and I drank this port last summer, during our holiday at what was supposed to be the vitrual tasting date (July 26th). Because we didn't have internet access, we didn't know the VT was off. Better late than never, the notes:

Drank from plastic cup, which makes it almost impossible to say sane things about the colour apart from: "looks porty". Nice nose of plum, raisin and tobacco. Tastes rather evolved already, with flavours of amarone cherries, raisin, prunes, leather and a hot 'red chili' finish. The hotness blows off with time, and the fruit gets fresher as well, giving a younger impression. Very nice glass of port.

Granted, a fair assesment was impossible, drinking from plastic cups and from a bottle that just survived a road trip from the Netherlands to Italy. But it was a really nice experience drinking this port with a view to the Dolomite mountains.

I completely forgot to mention that this bottle was kindly donated to us by Derek. Thanks again!
