1991 Morgan's Vintage Port

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Deep red in colour, lovely bramble smell released when decanting but this had faded a little by the time the tasting note was taken. Full bodied and nicely textured in the mouth, lots of sweet black fruits dominating the flavours but with the tannins still very noticeable. The aftertaste was a little short but still very enjoyable. Such an easy port to drink that is still going to get better. 5/6 or 90/100. Drunk on 13/3/08 after 4 hours of decanting.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
