80% opaque. A bit unbalanced on the nose. Good solid sweetly fruity port on the palate but with a slightly bitter note on the finish. Quite a fine glass of port, it continued to develop in glass over several hours, and my expectation is that it will be better in a few years.

A darker burgundy colour still. slightly distracting hint of VA doesn’t quite shift. Lots of dense primary fruit. Today slightly monolithic, just like the bottles I’m hanging onto waiting for this one to turn the corner. Will it properly develop or is this as good a time to drink it as any? For me not certain but this is a good showing, if not ever going to challenge for top honours.

90% opacity, very dark red. Floral, violets, cherries on the nose. Lovely rich, sweet chocolate and cherry. Tannins all along, a bit flabby at the finish nonetheless.

Cr94, decanted 07:00. Dark red, 80% opaque. Bitterness early palate; dark cherry behind, but drowned by the cloying bitterness. Long, but wrong.

Later, still no.
