POCAS VINTAGE VERTICAL DATE TBD

Post by forest26 »

Emboldened by the Messias Cachao Vertical - is there any appetite for a Pocas Vintage Vertical sometime next year?

Early days at the moment... I don't have much in my cellars so I may need a little help here. Pocas may be able to help us but I am not sure what they have...

Yes.

But I insist on the cedilla: Poças.

Definitely. I've not tasted as much Poças as I'd like to since I've always enjoyed them on the infrequent occasions when I have drunk them.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

I would also be interested having been very kindly treated by them when I was in Porto recently. I can only offer the 2017, which might be objected to on the grounds of being far too young...

Only tried a little of their younger Ports, but what I tried, I liked. I'm in.

Yes please! Very much enjoyed our visit to Poças in VNdG. I only have 2011 somewhere in storage.

Excellent idea. Yes please.

I have no Poças :( The only time I have tried any was some older white as part of a flight in Portologia, and it was lovely.

I really enjoyed the “Portuguese-style” Vintage Ports at the recent Messias vertical, and it would be great to see what a different house has to offer - please can I be added to the list? Thanks.
