Opened 1645 and decanted 1945 on 08/12/19. Heavy sediment of mixed dimensions. Powerful spirity nose, seems in good condition.

NN91. Red-pink 40%. Red cherry, soft and oleaginous, good length, lots of heat. This is good Port, texture very fine but not a giant, and not the best here.

Pale red. Sweet red fruit nose. Appealing spicy sweet strawberries in the mouth with a nice long finish featuring figs. This is very good light port for drinking over the next few years, and one I would happily buy for that purpose, were it not so preposterously priced.

Pale, more so than the "basic" Noval.
Still some fruit on the nose but not much development.
More evolved in the mouth, well balanced, not much tannin left, but some remaining fruit.
Overall quite nice, but a little disappointed.

I liked this a lot. It was different but not as you would expect. Just a touch more depth and less developed than the very pleasurable Noval. But there was something else in the flavour profile I liked more. Cedar? Red fruit driven with perfect balance and while light really enjoyable today. Focusing on pleasure today and not on price tag. My 2nd place.
