Tarriffs on shipping port to the US

There is a great deal of noise about 100% tarriffs on European wine. Might anybody know what the current situation is, and/or how it might change? I have looked at a number of sites on the web, but I am more confused than enlightened. I would very much like to ship a large parcel in the Spring, but the thought of having to pay a 100% tarriff is more than a little daunting.

Just rumours for the moment. 25% tariffs introduced late last year in response to subsidies given to Airbus. Lots of negative reaction to that from US buinsesses. Suggestions of 100% as part of a wider EU-US trade war. My guess is the next 2 years will be turbulent for tariffs all round, as the UK negotiates with both EU and US - this will likely triggers some EU-US moves as well. And the US continues to argue with China.

My understanding on the 25% tariff was that for wines over 14% alcohol content, the tariff was unchanged.

It is confusing. The 100% tarriff was due to a digital service tax dispute with France (and some others that already have it). For now, it has been tabled and won't kick in. Though with Trump, who knows what may happen going forward on a day to day basis.

The previous, and current 25% tarriff, is due to the illegal subsidies Airbus is getting.
