1985 Taylor

Post by nac »

Served blind at B&F on 28/1/20 by IDJ.

Looked well developed with definite browning, but the nose was very closed and struggled to pick out much. In the mouth much more development with lovely tawny notes. Quite dry but much enjoyed.

Guessed T77.

Only three bottles present at the tasting and I put this 1st. Overall 1st on the night.

50% opacity, red. Sweet red fruits, chocolate and some leather on the nose. Lovely soft and smooth entry. Rich mouthfeel, sweet red fruit, strawberries. Great structure, soft tannin in the background, fruit and acidity nicely balanced.

Later, some lovely spices. Missed this when I guessed G85!
