2000 Niepoort

95% opaque red juice. Poached plum on the nose. Big hit of raspberries on the front palate, poached plum and bassetti thereafter, long, warming, delicious and fresh finish, nothing cloying about this one. Youthful but not immature, this is drinking now with a decent decant, and is admirable port. Decanted 8 hours. Consumed 2/4/20 and 4/4/20, with the second half being kept in the 'fridge in half bottle for the intervening two days, which did it no harm at all.
