95% opaque red juice. Red berry compote on nose, hint of warmth, passion fruit after a while. Panda liquorice on the front palate, then some loganberry, then cranberry muffin later. Lingering fruity finish. Fresh. Discernible but pleasant tannins. Some wood, very late.

Same appearance or possibly even slightly darker. Subdued summer pudding scent on nose (that bread-soaked-in-poached-red-fruit is quite distinctive). Poached plum on the front palate, spice- dentyne original chewing gum - on the mid-palate. Pears poached in red wine with star anise after that. Then blackcurrant and chocolate right at the end. Less abrupt on the finish than the 2014.

Served as a comparative sample, too quickly after extraction from the 'fridge (where it had been left loosely recorked in its original bottle). Nose and fruit both accordingly subdued. A bit of heat early and then poached red plums on the palate. Panda liquorice on the fairly long finish, nice balance with the tannins. Probably open a bit too long, but still refreshing and, my co-taster commented, really attractive despite the poor handling.
This is interesting port. Much more so, for me, than the 2014 LBV. Good value.
Tasted 05/07/20, 06/07/20, and 09/07/20 (with a co-taster).
