But doesn’t know where I put my tasting notes.

Sister-in-law reports my non-sobriety. But doesn’t know where I put my tasting notes.

Found. Cleverly put where they couldn’t be lost. Too clever by half.

Glasses with Taylor 1994

Post by jdaw1 »

Late in the evening we purchased a bonus bottle of 1994 Taylor, shown at the bottom of this picture. The seemingly black colour is an accurate representation: it was that dark.

I have read the TNs and it looks like you guys had a great VP experience. The Fonseca and Dow 77's I can relate to but I have not had the Taylor or Graham and look forward to doing so after reading your notes.

It does sound like you guys had a great time and drank some terrific port.

I'm a little concerned at the lack of cork and bottle-inner-diameter measurements, but I'm sure these will follow shortly.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

will get around to posting TNs.

The food was excellent! Service was also top notch.

A fun drunken time to be had by all.

Dovetail was certainly a comfortable venue and the service was excellent.
And, of course, the company and ports (other than the Delaforce) were first class. The food was also excellent except that there was hardly any of it. This was nouvelle cuisine at its best (i.e., tiny amounts of food cooked to perfection).
