Shown at the Symington's 1994 Library Release launch event.

This wine has a lovely rose red colour with a wide rim and an opaque centre. Stunning nose of fresh fruit salad and - unexpectedly - fresh mown grass! Really quite lovely. Smooth in texture, perhaps a little closed on entry but a bit of air releases a huge volume of sweet and fragrant forest fruit. Delicious and enveloping! Warm fruit compote on the aftertaste, dark sweet and honeyed. Perhaps the wine lacks a little acidity for a very long life, but it is delicious drinking today! 92/100. Tasted 02-Nov-21. Decanted 2½ hours.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
