1963 Dow
The second of two bottles from the same case ("Tony's Bottle"). Both bottles came in their original straw sleeves.
The same rich toned colour as the first bottle tasted. A little more subdued on the nose but still showing some lovely mature red fruit with the added complexity of cinnamon drops and red liquorice — a very attractive combination. Delightful entry, sweet and spicy Turkish Delight with a touch of red pepper. Some heat on the aftertaste and in the finish but a bottle showing very well. 94/100. Tasted 25-Jul-22. Decanted 1½ hours.
