Simon has been very generous with his stash - here's my take:
On decanting, the wine had some rough edges, but was approachable.
18 hours later I thought it a bit jammy - cranberries came to mind - not noticeably better than when first decanted.
30 hours and the wine had come round, darker, deep and composed.
Now at 48 hours it's getting a little jammy again, but a very respectable wine.
No hurry to drink this one, it is still very youthful - another ten years will do no harm.
Score 5-7

Interesting note. I preferred this a few hours after opening over 24 hours but this extended note, with the dip at 18 hours, suggests I should have left it longer. I have 1 bottle left, which we can all taste in 2018 to test Tom's theory
