2002 Dow's Crusted Port

Post by DRT »

Purchased from Tesco recently because I wanted the nice presentation box to use for a gift with a different bottle in it.

Emergency decant procedure used due to complete lack of will power.

Decanted 5 seconds
Decanted cleanly of very little crust. What there was was of the fine dust variety. A very young fruit bomb smell. dark and completely opaque. Nice weight and surprisingly approachable at this young age. Lots of tannin kicking in quickly to evidence that I have commited infanticide

I think AHB would like this.

Might offer a score once it has had time to breathe.

Sure! I'll have Bubba moved to a different one. Would you like some 1974 Noval Colheita or some 2000 Taylor LBV with your microwave dinner

I don't care, so long as I'm not nominated to pick up the soap in the shower
