Quite light in colour, a dark orange rather than any tone of red. An astonishingly bright nose of mature cabernet sauvignon - cedar and an unexpected fresh-cut celery! Fresh on the palate, light and elegant yet with wonderful pure fruit - fruit which blossoms and grows on the late palate. Sweet fruit on the aftertaste and an exquisite finish, the fruit of which fades in and out of focus. A lovely, elegant and polished wine. 93/100. Decanted ½ hour.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
